PROMYS Head Counselor

Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS), 2026

I spent the summer supervising and mentoring undergraduate counselors at an advanced high school program in number theory. This included designing and running the counselor orientation week, managing logistics throughout the program, and providing mathematical and emotional support for both counselors and students.

I also personally guided a small group of students by attending daily lectures, giving feedback on daily problem sets, and holding daily meetings to discuss content and ideas. Additionally, I mentored a group of five second-year students in a research project in group theory. Finally, I wrote and delivered talks for students and other counselors on Galois theory and elliptic curves.
